I'm a New York City-based film photographer drawn to the details that give a place its character. I photograph the things that make me stop for a second: an old car in the right patch of light, a crowded sidewalk beneath a grand façade, a storefront with a great awning, or a familiar landmark appearing somewhere I didn't expect it.

Living in New York has made me especially interested in the way ordinary life unfolds around remarkable places. I love the city's visual contradictions: yellow cabs against museum steps, food carts beneath ornate architecture, quiet streets a few blocks from chaos. I look for the same things when I travel, not just the landmarks that identify a place, but the cars, cafés, buildings, colors, people, and small coincidences that give it a personality of its own.

I shoot on film because it suits the way I like to photograph. It forces me to slow down, notice what's happening around me, and commit to a frame without knowing exactly how it will turn out. The grain, color, and occasional imperfections are part of the appeal, and part of what makes each photograph feel like a record of a moment rather than a perfect reproduction of it.
