Mediterranean

The Mediterranean is where the color arrives. Painted boats gathered in the harbor at Cassis, white houses climbing the rocks in Begur, limestone cliffs dropping straight into blue water.

But I loved the evidence of people being there just as much. Towels left on the stones, crowded little beaches, weathered boats, a boatload of people craning their heads toward cliffs.
